Homemade Lemonade

There is nothing more spring like or refreshing than homemade lemonade! So here is my recipe!

2 cups sugar of your choosing

2 cups water

1 gallon clod water

2 cups fresh squeezed lemons

1 lemon slices, plus 1 lemon cut into wedges for garnish

First make a simple syrup by adding the sugar and 2 cups of water to a medium saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil over low heat. Sir until all the sugar is dissolved, then remove from heat and set aside.

Next squeeze your lemons. I used my juicer to do this.

Add your lemon juice and your simple syrup to your pitcher and slowly mix in a cup of water from your gallon until it’s tastes the way you like it.

Last refrigerant for an hour then serve with the cut lemon wedges and ice.

Happy Homesteading!
